Looking for a good language arts, math, social studies, or science Web site? You'll find links to all these, plus professional development resources and other topics-from printable crafts to virtual reference desks, Olympic-themed activities to a kids' help phone-at The Teacher List. With the tag line "Mastering the Web...One Site at a Time," this broad resource showcases one new Web site a day and is designed with both novices and experts in mind.

It is organized by both curricular area and grade level and is free, education-specific, easy to subscribe and unsubscribe to. Users can opt to receive a daily newsletter (e-mail addresses are kept strictly private) or access archives for past featured sites, and they are invited to submit their favorite sites for consideration. The creator is Pete MacKay, a teacher and tech coordinator in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Susan McLester is editor in chief of T&L.
