More than 5,230 students in grades K-12 are enrolled in the seven Gates Chili district schools, located in Rochester, New York. The school district's Web site provides a wealth of 'instant information' for parents and community members, and also serves as a gateway to school site information.
How to use the site:
The Instant Info area on the Home page is an excellent organizational strategy. Using these links, parents and community members can easily find the latest news on school safety, cafeteria menus, transportation, district forms, and more. The Schools tab at the top of the screen leads to links for each of the sites, where parents can access teacher Web pages, school information, and news. The Calendar tab offers a feature that allows users to print either district or school-specific calendars, a valuable tool for parents whose children attend more than one school within the district! If you're designing or updating your district's Web site, Gates Chili's site is definitely worth reviewing.
