Brief Description of the Site:
Joe Santsingh teaches 5th and 6th grades at Dalby South State School in Dalby, Queensland, Australia. His site provides Term Overviews in PDF file format for every subject for the entire academic year. The overviews, set out week by week, include Math, English, and Weekly Spelling Word Lists. Daily Homework updates are available as are work samples of major projects and Integrated Work Units.
How to use the site:
Treat yourself by making a quick visit to a classroom "down under." In addition to some interesting student work and project samples, 5th and 6th grade teachers in the U.S. will want to look at the Term Overviews to get a flavor of what's being taught at these grade levels in another country. There's also a link where Mr. Santsingh recounts his experience as Choir Director and making a student CD. You can listen to a selection of songs from the album in mp3 format.
