Site of the Day

Name: Downers Grove North High School

Brief Description of the Site:
Downers Grove North High School (grades 9-12) is located in Downers Grove, IL. The Web site is designed as a portal for students, teachers, parents, and community members. Each group is offered a distinct area with resources and information targeted to their specific needs.

How to use the site:
The sleek design of the site is refreshing. There are four entry points into the site, clearly defined for the intended audiences: students, parents, faculty, and community. The Home page also offers a few links to News and Events along with a slide show of Snap Shots from North. Each area provides information in two categories: resources available at the school and Web resources. This is an excellent example of how to design a site for multiple user groups without overwhelming visitors.
