Site of the Day

Name: Mrs. Purser's Class Web Site

Brief Description of the Site:
Stephanie Purser, a 3rd grade teacher from Slidell, LA uses her classroom Web site to communicate with parents, provide activity links for her students, and to share ideas with fellow educators. She also offers a password-protected discussion area where parents can post ideas or questions, and interact with her and one another.

How to use the site:
Parents visit the site to stay informed about school and classroom events, see pictures of class activities, and read student work. Kids use the page to access WebQuest lessons and to use the online activity links that provide practice in math and language arts skills. Teachers are welcome to visit the site to check out the WebQuests, access a collection of teacher-specific Internet links, and to exchange ideas with Mrs. Purser.
