Site of the Day

Name: St. Paul Lutheran School

Brief Description of the Site:
This private school in Farmington, Missouri is home to just under 200 K-8 students. Although many private schools use Web sites to attract potential students, you won't find that approach taken here. The site is used to share news with parents, and as a learning/publishing tool for students.

How to use the site:
Parents can access general information such as calendars, events, and school uniform requirements, but can also check out weekly updates posted in the Giants Newsletter area. Recent student work is available through the Technology and Student Work sections and includes artwork, writing, and PowerPoint presentations. There is also an extensive list of curriculum-related Internet links for student and parent use. A very nice feature, called Watch It! Allows site visitors to request an email when pages they specify are updated. A great way to get parents to return to the site!
