Name:
Mr. Anderson's Web Page
Brief Description of the Site:
Dave Anderson, a Social Studies teacher from Troy, NY uses this site as an instructional support tool for his sixth grade students. It's not flashy, but Mr. Anderson provides parents and students information about homework, long-term projects, online review and study activities, and shares student work.
How to use the site:
Parents can visit the site to find out about students' homework assignments and projects and to see samples of students work. Kids use the page as a resource for research and review through the reference links and interactive review activities provided. They also participate in online projects, such as Hands Across the World. Finally, teachers use the site as a source for Internet links and as a model for using a Web page to extend student learning beyond the school day.
