MS Outlook support for Macintosh

Question: What options do Macintosh users have for accessing Microsoft Exchange Server?

The IT Guy says:
Macintosh users running OS 9 and OS X (Classic mode) can run Microsoft Outlook 2001. The program is no longer supported, but does allow connection to MS Exchange Servers for email, global address books, public folder resources, and shared calendaring. For Macintosh OS X users wanting a NATIVE software solution (not running in OS 9 Classic mode), Microsoft has pledged a forthcoming upgrade to its email program Entourage, included in the MS Office suite for Macintosh. This upgrade will allow OS X users to access Exchange server resources through Entourage. Scheduled release is in summer 2003. More details are included on the press release from Microsoft/a>.
