Meeting Minder in PowerPoint

I like using PowerPoint slides as visuals in staff meetings, but when we brainstorm, it seems awkward to quit the slide show to type notes in another application or use a flip chart. Is there a way to take notes within a PowerPoint presentation?

PowerPoint 2000 and later versions includes a feature called Meeting Minder that enables you to both take notes and set action items. To access this feature, right click while viewing a slide and select Meeting Minder from the menu that appears. You can choose between Meeting Minutes, which allows you to type minutes that can later be exported to a Word file for distribution, or Action Items, which enables you to add a description as well as assign the task and a due date. Action Items then appear in a new slide at the end of the presentation. It is also possible to add these items and due dates to your calendar with Outlook.
