Just a few weeks ago at the ISTE conference in Philadelphia, Otus released its new user interface – and the updated version is still completely free for teachers and students! I had a chance to meet up with Chris Hull, Otus’ teacher/product developer. After corresponding for the past year it was great to finally meet in person. We talked about some of the exciting things happening in educational technology and how it is changing the way that learning is taking place in classrooms across the country.
If you’ve explored Otus before or are interested in learning about the ways it supports learning with technology, you’ll be excited about some of Otus’ new features. It addition to its simple design and easy to navigate user interface, Otus now lets teachers integrate a wide range of performance indicators into one place, including content from select third-party apps like Khan Academy. Otus logs all student activity in real-time so teachers can quickly gauge their impact on student growth and provide timely, constructive feedback. There is also the option to personalize your work environment with themes and background color options.
